Conference to review the work of 2024 and deploy major tasks for 2025

The Provincial Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion has effectively implemented its mission, providing timely support to domestic and foreign businesses and investors such as: dialogue programs, conferences to address challenges faced by businesses, and assistance in product promotion and marketing. The center has organized numerous promotional activities both domestically and internationally. Notable efforts include the Business Coffee Program with the participation of 200 enterprises and cooperatives; involvement in two investment promotion programs; hosting and supporting eight investors in conducting on-site surveys and exploring opportunities within the province. In addition, the center organized the launch ceremony for Sơn La plum products to be distributed nationwide through the Saigon Co.op system and invited enterprises and cooperatives to participate in 64 trade fairs and market events across various provinces and cities nationwide. It also processed 17 project proposals and facilitated on-site surveys for seven investors seeking opportunities in the province. Furthermore, the center supported five facilities in adopting advanced machinery and equipment for tea production and processing in 2025.The province’s investment, trade, and tourism promotion initiatives have significantly contributed to the estimated export value of $198 million in 2024, an increase of 6.1% compared to 2023. Notably, agricultural exports are projected to reach $190 million, a rise of 6.92% from the previous year.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion in 2024. He suggested that in 2025, the Center to further enhance the quality of its advisory work and the effectiveness of investment, trade, and tourism promotion activities, as well as its efforts in investment consultancy, support, industrial promotion, and industrial development. Notably, he emphasized the need to focus on and intensify investment promotion, promptly address difficulties, flexibly apply policies, and gradually build a safe and effective investment environment.
