The Danish Ambassador to Vietnam and his delegation visited and worked with the People's Committee of Son La province.

At the welcoming ceremony for the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam and his delegation to visit and work in Son La province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong expressed his joy at the Ambassador's interest in Son La, informing about some outstanding achievements in politics, socio-economics, national defense, security, and international cooperation of the province. At the same time, he introduced the province's potential and strengths in agricultural development, processing industry, and tourism development. He also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and financial support of organizations from the Kingdom of Denmark through sustainable development initiatives implemented in the province, such as the "Initiative on Climate Change and Ethnic Minorities in Northern Vietnam.", the project "Enhancing the Voice and capacity of vulnerable ethnic minority farmers to respond to climate change in Northwest Vietnam.", the National Target Program on clean water and rural sanitation and contributing to improving the network capacity of Son La Radio and Television Station.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

He hoped that on this occasion, the Ambassador would continue to pay attention to, introduce, and connect organizations in the Kingdom of Denmark to cooperate and provide financial support to Son La province to implement programs and projects on sustainable development, supporting legal procedures and creating the best conditions for VESTAS DEVELOPMENT A/S Company to research and evaluate the Song Ma and Sop Cop 1 wind power projects, ensuring that the investigation and evaluation of the project comply with current regulations of Vietnamese law.
