Infrastructure in some communes in Son La city has been invested and completed.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the Party Committee, government, and people of Son La City have mobilized the most resources and focused on implementing many efficient solutions. From 2021 to 2025, the city has mobilized over 64.5 billion VND to implement the program, of which the people contributed more than 10 billion VND. This capital is predominantly invested in building essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, medical stations, and cultural houses, creating favorable conditions for people's living and production.

Until now, Son La City has had 03 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards according to the Criteria for the 2021 - 2025 period. The remaining communes continue to promote the implementation of the criteria to complete the set goals. The city sets a goal that by the end of 2025, 5/5 communes will meet advanced new rural standards, creating a solid foundation for building new model rural areas.

The cultural and people's spiritual life of Phieng Ngua village and Chieng Xom commune  (Son La city, Son La) is being improved.

Along with the completion of infrastructure, Son La city focuses on developing production and increasing income for people. Agricultural production models applied to high technology, expanding key farming products associated with value chains are widely deployed. At the same time, vocational training, technology transfer, and loan support are also of interest, helping people improve their lives and increase economic efficiency.

In addition, environmental protection activities and the construction of green, clean, and beautiful rural landscapes have also been carried out synchronously. Movements such as "Clean house, beautiful garden, clean environment" or "Bright-green-clean-beautiful" have attracted a large number of people to participate, contributing to creating a spacious and modern appearance for the city's rural areas.

With the achieved results, Son La City is gradually realizing the goal of building a sustainable new countryside, aiming to improve the quality of life for the people and develop the local socio-economy. In the coming time, the city will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, mobilize maximum resources, and deploy appropriate solutions to complete the set goals, contributing to the increasingly sustainable development of Son La.
