The Provincial Business Association supports the development of local enterprises and cooperatives

In the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial Business Association ramped up efforts to expand its membership and the Provincial Business Association has strengthened communication activities to raise awareness about the Association’s position and role in uniting, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, serving as a bridge between state agencies and the provincial business community.To date, the Provincial Business Association comprises 11 district- and city-level business chapters and 6 member organizations (including the Provincial Tourism Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Son La Coffee Association, the Veteran and Former Military Entrepreneurs Association, the Women Entrepreneurs Club, and the Phu Yen District Business Association), with a total of 839 members, including 735 enterprises, 98 cooperatives, and 6 associate members.

The Provincial Business Association has strengthened its legal support efforts; provided updates on the Government’s, the province’s, and various sectors’ guidelines, plans, and policies regarding socio-economic development solutions; supported and resolved difficulties faced by enterprises, cooperatives and citizens,  promote socio-economic recovery and development. It has also established delegations and coordinated with relevant units to organize member participation in trade connection and investment promotion events both domestically and internationally.

Son La Province aims to have approximately 4,000 enterprises  by the end of 2025, including about 330 newly established businesses in 2025. The number of enterprises withdrawing from the market is expected to increase by less than 10% compared to 2024. By 2025, the province strives to have 100 enterprises receive support under the Program, such as using digital transformation readiness self-assessment tools, receiving training, consulting, and connecting with digital solutions. By 2025, 100% of active enterprises in the province are increased awareness of digital transformation. 100% administrative procedures related to businesses that meet the conditions will be provided via online public services. In 2025, the province will continue trying improve its ranking in the national Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), also build upon achievements in the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR INDEX), the Satisfaction Index of Public Administrative Services (SIPAS), the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), the Digital Transformation Index (DTI), and the ICT Readiness Index (ICT INDEX). Recognizing this, the Provincial Business Association continues to enhance its role and responsibilities as a bridge representing the voice and legitimate interests of its members and businesses in the province. It actively disseminates Party guidelines and State policies and laws to its affiliated chapters to ensure timely communication and information delivery to the business community. The Association also continues to coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and units to effectively implement assessments of the competitiveness index at the departmental, sectoral, and district/city levels. On that basis, it works to improve the quality of administrative procedure resolution, enhance the investment environment, and raise the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). At the same time, it proposes solutions to remove difficulties for businesses and recommends the issuance of mechanisms and policies that create favorable conditions, legal frameworks, and development opportunities for enterprises and entrepreneurs..
