Yoga is an ancient practice originating from India and has been recognized by the United Nations as a holistic approach to health and well-being, acknowledging that promoting the benefits of yoga contributes to the health of people around the world. In recent years, yoga has been warmly embraced by the Vietnamese population in general, and by ethnic communities in Son La province in particular, with many people practicing it regularly to improve their physical and mental health. Dozens of yoga clubs have also been established and are actively maintained throughout the province.
The event attracted participants of all ages.
The International day of yoga in Son La province contributed to promoting and encouraging the practice of yoga and healthy living within the community. It also served to showcase the province’s beautiful natural landscapes and the warmth and hospitality of its people to both domestic and international visitors. At the same time, the event provided a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange and strengthened the bond between the peoples of Vietnam and India through the shared practice of yoga as a cultural bridge.
