(en.sonla.gov.vn) In 2025, Son La strives for the total value of goods participating in the provinces exports 2025 to reach 215 million USD, an increase of 8.35% compared to 2024. Of which, agricultural and food products participating in exports will reach 208 million USD, an increase of 9.22% compared to 2024, contributing to job creation for workers and socio-economic development of the province, especially in ethnic minority, remote, and border areas.
Identifying the promotion of goods for export to contribute to the development of green production and improve product quality, thereby positively impacting the processing and consumption of advantageous goods of the province in the domestic market and creating momentum for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of Son La province, strengthening export is associated with the planning and development plan of Son La province to promote competitive advantages, effectively exploit opportunities, and limit the impact of challenges in implementing international economic integration commitments, deep participating in the global supply chain and value chain, gradually shifting to direct export through international trade contracts.

The value of the province's fruit products for export in 2025 is estimated to reach 35.26 million USD, with 34 areas producing fresh fruit products for export in Son La province in 2025, focusing on several main fruit products. Mango products for export are estimated to reach 16,400 tons with a total export value of 9.7 million USD. Longan products for export are estimated to reach 4,100 tons with a total export value of 20.6 million USD. Passion fruit products for export are estimated to reach 2,350 tons with an export value of 2.44 million USD. Banana products are estimated to reach 8,000 tons with a total export value of 1.8 million USD.
In addition, the value of processed and other agricultural products participating in the province's export in 2025 strives to reach 172.74 million USD. Some main items: Tea products participating in export are estimated to reach 10,000 tons with an export value of 26 million USD; coffee products participating in export are estimated to reach 34,000 tons with an export value of 100 million USD; cassava products participating in export are estimated to reach 102,000 tons with a total export value of 37.4 million USD; other processed agricultural products (pineapple, sweet corn, spinach...) participating in export are expected to reach 5,300 tons with an export value of 7.2 million USD.
The total value of other products participating in the provincial export in 2025 is estimated to reach 7.0 million USD. Main export items include cement, textile products, steel, and other products.
To achieve the proposed export value target, the functional sectors need to focus on guiding enterprises and cooperatives in the province to apply good agricultural production processes, link production according to value chains associated with quality standards, food safety and growing area codes, packaging facility codes according to the requirements of the domestic and export markets; promote the construction and development of high-tech fruit production areas, safe agricultural supply chains, etc. in the province; support the development of e-commerce in the province for enterprises and cooperatives producing and trading typical agricultural products with competitive advantages of the province in the domestic and international markets; organize knowledge training programs, disseminate regulations on global economic integration, export of goods, brand building and application of e-commerce, and digital transformation in trade promotion activities; organize and participate in trade connection activities and regional linkages at home and abroad to support the development of e-commerce; advise on developing agricultural, forestry, and fishery preservation and processing industries; encourage the development of deep processing, refined processing, and high-tech processing industries; focus on developing supporting industries and support services to increase added value and competitiveness of products.
In addition, enterprises producing, processing, and exporting goods need to proactively grasp market information to develop plans for the production, consumption, and export of their products, especially agricultural products; strengthen cooperation and association in production and processing to improve the capacity to supply products that meet standards and quality for export. Research and apply science and technology, production processes to ensure consumption and export standards; propose competent authorities to support the transfer of production technology applying high technology, advanced technology, and organic technology in production and processing, especially fruit products; select and produce new varieties with good productivity, quality, and resistance to pests and diseases suitable to the natural conditions of the province for crops and livestock. Regularly coordinate and provide information to departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts, the town, and the city on collection activities, signing consumption contracts, and managing product quality; production, processing, and export results, difficulties and obstacles to facilitate the export of key products of the province.
