At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on the implementation plan to summarize 10 years of implementing this important policy. Accordingly, the Steering Group has developed a draft implementation plan, clearly assigning tasks to each member to ensure progress and quality of the summary content. The main contents include reviewing and evaluating the results achieved, analyzing the shortcomings, limitations, and causes, drawing lessons, and proposing directions, tasks, and solutions for continued implementation in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that summarizing 10 years of implementing the policy of growing fruit trees on sloping land is an important task, contributing to a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of a key policy, having a profound impact on sustainable agricultural economic development in the province. He requested that departments, branches, and localities coordinate closely, proactively implement assigned tasks, ensure quality and progress, and focus on collecting data, illustrative images, and practical reports from the grassroots so that the summary content is objective, comprehensive, and close to reality.

The vice chairman also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment as the standing agency of the Steering Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to complete the draft plan and provide specific instructions to districts and cities for synchronous implementation throughout the province.

The summary will be an important basis for the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to propose policies and orientations for fruit tree development in the province in the next period, by actual conditions, adapting to climate change, and ensuring sustainable livelihoods for people in mountainous areas.
