(en.sonla.gov.vn) On May 23, 2025, the working delegation of the National Remote Sensing Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) led by Mr. Chu Hai Tung, Deputy Director of the Department, had a working session with the Son La Provincial Peoples Committee. Receiving and working with the delegation, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Peoples Committee, and representatives of relevant departments and branches. The meeting connected online to the Peoples Committees of districts, the town, and the city in the province.

At the meeting, the National Remote Sensing Department gave an overview of the applications of remote sensing images to serve state management in agriculture and the environment. The working group also provided specific instructions on remote sensing images in basic investigation activities, monitoring, and supervision of water resources, agriculture - forestry - fishery, natural disaster prevention, and mapping. In particular, the group shared the process of developing projects and plans to exploit remote sensing images using the state budget in the province.
Son La province was also informed about the current situation and the need for applying remote sensing images of departments and branches in state management of agriculture and the environment. Representatives of the People's Committees of districts, the town, and the city spoke clearly, stating the practical needs and desires to access and effectively apply remote sensing technology to serve management and operation at the local level.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the coordination and support of the National Remote Sensing Department in sharing information and providing professional guidance. He requested that departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts, the town, and the city seriously absorb and carefully study the disseminated content and proactively coordinate with specialized agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to propose programs and projects applying remote sensing images suitable to the actual needs of the province, ensuring practicality and effectiveness, contributing to improving the capacity of state management and serving sustainable socio-economic development in Son La province.
