(Moc Chau) After two days of activities, the 9th Moc Chau Fruit Harvest Festival 2025 concluded on the morning of June 1 at Na Ka Plum Valley, Co Do Ward, Moc Chau Town. The Peoples Committee of the town held the closing ceremony and presented awards to participating units and individuals. This is an annual cultural and tourism event organized by Moc Chau Town to honor plum growers, promote the value of the plum fruit, and foster cultural exchange among the ethnic groups of Moc Chau.
The 2025 Moc Chau Plum-picking Festival
This year, alongside traditional activities such as the fruit-picking and fruit-tasting contests, ethnic costume beauty pageant, agricultural product beauty contest, sports competitions, and folk games, the festival featured eight cultural and agricultural product booths representing various wards and communes of the town. These booths attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors who came to explore, experience, and shop. At the event, a large number of visitors immersed themselves in the cultural atmosphere and discovered the unique traditions of the ethnic groups of the Northwest in general and of Moc Chau in particular. Guests had the opportunity to view exhibitions and listen to presentations about distinctive local agricultural products, including outstanding OCOP items representing each region and ethnic group on the plateau. Especially notable were the visually striking and creatively arranged fruit and culinary displays that captivated both residents and tourists. Through the skillful hands of local artisans, natural ingredients were transformed into unique, nutritious dishes—many of which featured plums as a key ingredient—offering a distinctive flavor and leaving a lasting impression on those who viewed and tasted them.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, the Organizing Committee presented awards to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in the competition categories, as well as overall team awards to delegations representing the wards and communes of the town.
