To effectively implement the directives in Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025, of the Prime Minister on launching a peak period to combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights; Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the new situation. Working Group 1181 of the province has developed a Peak Plan against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and breaching intellectual property rights in Son La province. Accordingly, the province will establish 04 interdisciplinary inspection teams to conduct peak inspections against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in Son La province from the end of May to June 15, 2025.

At the meeting, members of Task Force 1181 also discussed and gave their opinions on the Operating Regulations, the Decision on the establishment of the Inter-sectoral Inspection Team, and the Peak Plan against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in Son La province. Delegates requested the advisory agency to develop a detailed inspection plan by region and area, ensuring efficient inspection and control, avoiding overlap, assigning detailed tasks to the member sectors of the Task Force to organize specialized inspection teams by sector and field by the actual situation of the locality; promoting the spirit of community and supervision of the people by issuing denunciation forms and reports on violations of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the area; strengthening supervision of advertising activities to introduce products, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Industry and Trade to absorb comments, edit and complete the draft Operating Regulations and Plan, and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for signing and promulgation. Departments and branches focus on assigned tasks, proactively grasp the situation, and directly inspect and survey the reality at some border gates, key areas, complicated smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and some large production and business establishments in districts, towns, and cities. Heads of the inspection teams are responsible for developing implementation plans and assigning specific tasks to members of the inspection teams. At the end of the inspection, the interdisciplinary inspection teams send a report on the results to the Department of Industry and Trade - the standing agency of Working Group 1181 for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee.
