(en.sonla.gov.vn) On April 8, 2025, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the Announcement Ceremony of the Free Trade Agreement Implementation Results Assessment Index (FTA INDEX) of localities in 2024. The conference was held in in-person and online formats to connect points in provinces and cities nationwide.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, attended the Son La provincial bridge.
Attending the conference at the Son La provincial bridge was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of several relevant departments and branches.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Home Affairs, and Foreign Affairs awarded Certificates of Merit to 04 provinces and cities with the best results, 14 provinces and other cities with good results, 08 provinces and cities with good results in component indicators in implementing FTA commitments in 2024. In particular, the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to 05 localities with outstanding achievements in evaluating and implementing free trade agreements in 2024.
The announcement ceremony was connected online to localities.
Stating at the announcement ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing free trade agreements to promote international integration, enhance competitiveness, and sustainable socio-economic development. The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, and localities to innovate thinking, improve implementation capacity, promote administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment, and support enterprises to access and effectively exploit signed FTAs.
The announcement of FTA INDEX is an important step in quantifying the results of implementing international integration commitments, thereby helping localities clearly identify their positions, strengths, and weaknesses to have appropriate solutions in the time to come.
