Online conference of the second meeting of the Government Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06
(en.sonla.gov.vn) On the morning of May 17, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project 06, chaired the second meeting of the Steering Committee.

The meeting was held online at the Government Headquarters, with the connecting points of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and 63 provinces and centrally run cities.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee, chairman of the provincial people's committee, head of the provincial national assembly delegation, and head of the provincial steering committee on science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06, attended and chaired the provincial connecting point.

At the conference, the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology announced the Prime Minister's decisions to complete the Government's Steering Committee (SC) on science, technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06; 3 decisions to establish 03 working groups to assist the SC of the Government. The conference also reviewed the results from March to May 2025 of the Government on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; the Ministry of Science and Technology reported the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP in March and April 2025, key tasks in May and June 2025. At the same time, the System monitored and evaluated the implementation of Resolution 71/NQ-CP officially announced and put into use.

The Ministry of Public Security reported on the implementation results of Project 06 and key tasks to implement the Project in May and June 2025. The Ministry of Home Affairs reported on the implementation results of administrative reform tasks and key tasks in May and June 2025. Regarding science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation, the Ministry of Science and Technology continues to carry out key tasks including: Raising awareness, making breakthroughs in innovation in thinking about science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation; perfecting institutions, eliminating all thoughts, concepts, and barriers that are hindering development; increasing investment, perfecting infrastructure for science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; developing and promoting high-quality human resources and talents to meet the requirements of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Promote digital transformation, application of science, technology, innovation in the activities of state agencies; powerfully promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation activities in enterprises; strengthen international cooperation in the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The implementation of Project 06 has strongly promoted and spread, bringing practical results to people and businesses, strengthening social management, and serving socio-economic development. The national population database has improved, bringing practical results. Online public services serving people and businesses have been increasingly developed, gradually building a professional and modern administration. Effectively implementing the integration of the Electronic Health Book and Medical Records, putting into operation the Medical Data Coordination System, etc.

At the Conference, the Prime Minister requested delegates to focus on discussing, analyzing, and frankly and objectively assessing the implementation of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, administrative reform, and Project 06 activities in the past time; identify existing problems, limitations, weaknesses, obstacles, barriers, bottlenecks, especially in terms of institutions, mechanisms, policies, and resource mobilization; point out the contents that are still behind schedule, identify objective and subjective causes, and draw lessons. Delegates shared good experiences, valuable lessons, and creative ways of leadership, direction, implementation, coordination, and resource mobilization; proposed key tasks and solutions in the coming time; and cleared up bottlenecks in the organization and implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.
