The province supports enterprises and cooperatives to bring plum products to participate in the "Green Consumption Campaign and Son La Plum Festival 2025" in Ho Chi Minh City.
To promote business development, on February 20, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 381/QD-UBND assigning the task of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to use the central budget in 2025, at the same time, it issued Plan No. 112/KH-UBND dated April 25, 2025 to implement Directive No. 10/CT-TTg dated March 25, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises; Action Plan No. 19/KH-UBND dated January 20, 2025, on implementing Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP dated January 5, 2024, of the Government on key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2025. Focus on implementing Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private economic development to ensure the concretization of the private economic goal to become the most important driving force of the province, contributing to the development of the national economy; develop the private economy with the spirit of "Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear results"; continue to implement tasks and solutions to improve the investment and business environment and improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI); create favorable conditions for private economic development; review and standardize procedures according to the electronic model, shorten the time to announce results according to the guidance of the Ministry of Finance; continue to support and guide businesses and investors on regulations on investment procedures and business registration in the area.
In addition, Son La Province has focused on leading and directing the drastic improvement of the investment environment, reviewing the set of administrative procedures (AP), and continuing to shorten the time for handling AP. This effort has cut time and costs for businesses, especially in the fields of land, tax, and social insurance. Establishing working groups to support investment projects, promptly grasping the difficulties investors encounter, actively removing difficulties related to procedures on investment, land, site clearance, and project operation procedures; publicizing recommendations and the process of handling recommendations of investors and businesses every quarter, proactively dialoging with businesses, etc.
As a result, in the first 06 months of 2025, the province established 642 new enterprises and affiliated units (240 enterprises, 402 affiliated units), an increase of 143.1% over the same period last year, with a total registered capital of VND 9,172.82 billion, down 61.58% over the same previous year; dissolved 86 enterprises and affiliated units (24 enterprises, 62 affiliated units), an increase of 65.3% over the same period last year; the number of enterprises and affiliated units re-registered to operate was 69 units (54 enterprises, 15 affiliated units), an increase of 7.8% over the same period last year; newly established 28 cooperatives, a decrease of 28.2% over the same last year; there are 1,086 cooperatives.
In the last six months of 2025, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct departments, branches, sectors, communes, and wards of the province to implement synchronous solutions, improve the investment and business environment, and minimize administrative procedures following the direction of the Prime Minister. With the motto "Considering difficulties and obstacles of enterprises as difficulties and obstacles of themselves", the provincial departments, branches and sectors will proactively review and grasp the difficulties and obstacles of enterprises and investors operating in the area, promptly deploy support policies under their authority, such as support for land lease, support for human resource training, support for start-up enterprises, innovation... Research and propose priority mechanisms to support enterprises of the province to participate in key project programs, under legal regulations, With many solutions implemented, the province's investment and business environment continues to improve, Son La enterprises are increasingly developing in both scale and quality, and continuing to be the driving force to promote the local socio-economic development.
