Muong La District Delegation visits Muong La District, Udomxay Province, Lao PDR

Welcoming the delegation of Muong La district, Son La province, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to visit and work in the district, Mr. Hum Phan - Bup Pha Kham, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee - District Chief of Muong La district, Udomxay province, Lao PDR extended heartfelt greetings to Mr.Phùng Mạnh Hiệp - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee. He conveyed best wishes for health and happiness and reiterated the ongoing strong friendship and cooperation between the two districts, highlighting their consistent collaboration and mutual support in various areas.

The two sides discussed updates on economic and social development, shared agricultural production practices, educational quality enhancement, and poverty reduction strategies. They agreed to continue mutual cooperation within their respective capacities, strengthen their special friendship, and foster comprehensive and long-term collaboration. Leadership delegations from both districts will visit each other every two years, and regular communication will be maintained to exchange information and address relevant issues through dialogue.

Leaders of Muong La district, Udomxay province give gifts to Muong La district, Son La province

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome from Muong La District leaders in Udomxay Province, Mr.Phung Manh Hiep, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of Muong La District, Son La Province, reaffirmed a commitment to maintaining the strong traditional friendship between the two districts and pledged continued support and facilitation for expanded cooperation.

In response to Muong La District, Udomxay Province's request, the head of the Muong La District, Son La Province delegation will consider their proposals for reporting to the Muong La District Party Committee, Son La Provincial Party Committee, and Son La Provincial People's Committee. Additionally, a training program will be organized in 2024 for 15 officials and residents from Muong La District, Udomxay Province on corn cultivation at Chieng Sung Forestry Company, Mai Son. Ongoing coordination will be directed between Son La and Udomxay authorities to exchange skills and experiences via telephone and social media.

During the visit, the delegation from Muong La District, Sơn La Province donated 50 million VND and 500 kg of maize seeds (from social sources) to Muong La District in Udomxay Province. They also presented 30 gift packages to local leaders and officials. In response, Udomxay leaders expressed gratitude for the generosity and reciprocated with meaningful gifts, reflecting their appreciation for the Muong La delegation.

Muong La district, Son La province and Muong La district, Udomxay province signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Previously, during their visit to Muong La District in Udomxay Province, the Muong La delegation from Son La offered incense at Sinh Kham Temple and participated in the traditional Lao wrist-tying ceremony, symbolizing hospitality. They also inspected areas affected by natural disasters and visited eco-tourism development projects.
