Dear leaders representing departments, branches, units; Tourism Association, Business Association; tourism enterprises, travel companies, reporters of central and local newspapers and radio stations of the two countries Vietnam - Laos and the two provinces Son La - Houaphan!

After two days of activities, the "Son La - Houaphan Cultural Tourism Festival 2024" in Hua Phan province, Lao PDR has been a great success; achieved the goals and requirements according to the plan; the event has great significance in terms of politics, economy, culture - society; created an exciting, united atmosphere and left a good impression on the people and tourists from near and far; affirmed the special friendship and solidarity, the close bond between the people of Vietnam - Laos in general, and the two provinces of Son La - Houaphan in particular.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Festival, I would like to summarize some results as follows:

1. Regarding preparation: The two provinces have closely coordinated and carefully prepared the contents and conditions, ensuring progress and efficiency and serving the successful organization of the festival.

2. Regarding information and propaganda work: The central and local press and radio agencies of Vietnam and Laos reported and posted adequately on the electronic information pages and social networks from the two countries, contributing significantly to the successful communication and promotion of the festival.

3. Regarding the contents of the festival’s activities

- Regarding the exhibition activities: The two provinces of Son La and Houaphan successfully organized 22 exhibition booths introducing cultural and tourism products, local products, handicrafts, and traditional costumes of ethnic groups, creating a very unique and attractive space; 160 beautiful photos introducing typical results of cooperation in economic, cultural - social development, national defense, security, potential advantages of tourism development, typical tourism products, cultural identity; attracting thousands of people to visit and learn.

- Regarding the survey, evaluation of tourism products, and construction of a new Hanoi - Son La - Hua Phan tour. Tourism experts, travel agencies, tourism businesses, and central and local press and television agencies highly appreciated the survey results; many Vietnamese tourism businesses immediately after the survey had plans to cooperate in developing tourism with Hua Phan province, such as organizing tours, opening branches in Sam Neua town, and researching investment in developing tourism products, etc.

- Regarding the conference on Tourism Development Cooperation, the two provinces of Son La and Hua Phan also successfully coordinated to organize, and many crucial contents were discussed and agreed upon, such as researching and learning about tourism products, sharing information and experiences on tourism development, discussing procedures for entry and exit, solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles to ensure convenience and speed for organizing tours through border gates. Notably, at the conference, 09 units and enterprises of Vietnam and Laos signed a memorandum of cooperation on tourism development, proposing stimulus programs and supporting tourism development.

- Regarding the art program "Son La - Houaphan Love Song" (staged and performed by the two provinces of Son La - Houaphan) with the participation of comrades representing the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos; senior leaders of the two provinces of Son La - Hua Phan; leaders of the Party, government agencies, organizations, people of all ethnic groups in Houaphan province and a large number of tourists who attended and enthusiastically cheered, creating a solemn atmosphere, full of solidarity, special friendship between the two countries of Vietnam - Laos; contributing to introducing and promoting the image of the land and people of Vietnam - Laos as friendly, hospitable, rich in national cultural identity and the potential and strengths of tourism development in the two provinces of Son La - Houaphan.

Dear distinguished guests and comrades!

The event "Son La - Houaphan Cultural Tourism Festival 2024" was successfully organized, continuing to affirm the consistent viewpoints, guidelines, and policies of the Party, State, and people of the two countries in maintaining, consolidating, and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Son La province with Houaphan in particular.

The above results thanks to the close-knit attention and direction of the leaders of Son La and Houaphan provinces and the attention, support, and creation of favorable conditions by Hua Phan province; the handy coordination of departments, branches, and units of Son La and Houaphan provinces; the enthusiastic support of the ethnic people of Houaphan province, especially in the doorstep and responsible coordination of the two Departments (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province; Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Houaphan province) which are the principal consulting units to make the Festival a success. I hope that in the coming time, we will continue to have many more joint and cooperative activities to promote tourism in the two provinces and two countries to develop further.

Finally, on behalf of the leaders of Son La province, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Comrade Phut Phan-Keo Vong Xay and the leaders of Houaphan province, along with the departments, branches, and units of Houaphan province; tourism businesses, travel agencies, reporters from central and local newspapers and all delegates attending today's conference.
