Among the attendees were: Mrs. Tong Thi Phong, former Member of the Politburo, former Standing Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly; Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Leaders of several central ministries and agencies; Committees and Councils of the National Assembly; Leaders of some provinces and cities; Representatives from the embassies of several countries in Vietnam; Leaders of nine provinces in Northern Laos

On the side of Son La province, there were: Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; former provincial leaders; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Leaders of provincial departments, committees, and agencies; representatives from Moc Chau and Van Ho districts, along with a large number of local residents and tourists."

On April 22, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism issued Decision No. 1077/QD-BVHTTDL officially acknowledging Moc Chau National Tourism Area in Son La Province. This recognition will provide a substantial boost for the overall tourism development of Son La province and specifically for the districts of Moc Chau and Van Ho. It will encourage ongoing efforts to enhance tourism, solidify its place on the global tourism landscape, and validate its status as a National Tourism Area.Top of Form

Leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism have announced the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to officially recognize Moc Chau National Tourism Area in Son La Province.

Addressing the announcement ceremony, Mrs.Trang Thi Xuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: In order for Moc Chau National Tourism Area to continue to develop and assert its position on both the Vietnamese and global tourism maps, Son La Province will continue to focus on investing in infrastructure, technical facilities, and tourism services. Furthermore, we will endeavor to enhance and surpass the established benchmarks of the National Tourism Area, promote digital transformation, develop smart tourism applications, enhance promotional activities, and leverage the tourism brand 'Leading natural destination in the world.' Aligned with Vietnam's tourism blueprint, the development of Moc Chau National Tourism Area aims to position it as a frontrunner among tourist destinations in the North Central and Northern Mountainous regions, and as a pivotal national tourism hub

The standing committee of  Moc Chau and Van Ho district Party Committees received commendations from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Standing Committee of the Moc Chau and Van Ho District Party Committees for their significant achievements in the construction and development of the Moc Chau National Tourism Area
