(sonla.gov.vn) On February 23, 2024, Australian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski, and his delegation visited and worked at Ban Phuc Nickel mine, Muong Khoa commune, Bac Yen district.

Working with the delegation on Son La province's side were comrade Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of several departments and branches of the province and Bac Yen district.
Currently, Blackstone Minerals Company is an Australian mineral exploration and exploitation unit that is implementing two large projects in Son La province, including Nickel mining in Ban Phuc (expanded), Muong Khoa commune, Bac Yen district, and Nickel ore deep processing factory in Phu Yen district. Blackstone Minerals Company's projects use modern Australian mining and mineral processing technologies and apply quality management processes with high safety and environmental protection standards, creating many new jobs for local workers and contributing to local socio-economic development.
